Accuracy -- calculators are fast and accurate and give quick answers that can be double-checked easily

Complacency -- students often rely on calculators to compute all of their math problems

Cheating -- graphing calculators allow students to store notes or formulas that could allow them to cheat during testing

Cost -- a simple calculator is relatively inexpensive, while a graphing calculator can be around $100 -- also, calculators need batteries to work which is an added reoccurring cost
